Somatic Education & Bodywork
The term Somatics describes a variety of practices evolving in the West, similar to the Eastern arts of yoga and tai chi. Influenced by the biological sciences, and by many contepletive traditions, these gentle movements can release years of chronic tension and pain.
Individual instruction in somatic education is available for a sliding scale fee of $45.00-$65.00.

Shanon Leonard, RN, NSHC, is an experienced health educator offering unmatched enthusiasm, expertise, and a uniquely broad perspective. She has been presenting workshops around the Pacific Northwest since 2001 and on the pelvis, in particular, for the past 10 years. She holds degrees in humanities and nursing with additional course work in psychology and nutrition. She also holds certificates in yoga and Thai bodywork and has passed the rigorous national certification exam with NSHC as an RN Health Coach. In addition to her coaching practice, she teaches anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology for the Port Townsend School of Massage. She is the mother of two children and one Basset hound.
